More Summer

While Rachel and Jeremy went to Alaska I watched their kids.  While I had them Brittany and I decided we were going to go up to Rock Springs to see Jessica.  We had a blast swimming in their pool and going to the water park.  So fun.  Here are the kids in the back seat asleep.

We went to the zoo.

While watching Jessica's girls while she and Brian went to his grandma's funeral we went to the Children's Museum in Ogden.

The twins were in a play while we were at the museum.

Until next time....

Catching Up

I'm going to try and catch up on my summer the next week or so.  My goodness how time flies.....

There were many days of water fun with the grandkids and picking raspberries.  I really didn't have many raspberries to do anything with other than putting them on my cereal cuz the kids picked most of them and ate them.  They were pretty brave to get in there with the thorns.

GOOD TIMES!

XOXO

2011 Easter

Better late than never, I guess.  Easter was a week ago and I'm just now putting pictures up.  We had a great day before Easter.  We've unknowingly made the Saturday before Easter our family's celebration day.  With the kids married now and having to split their time between two families it just works better.

We got together for a great lunch, egg hunt, and crafts.  My joy comes from watching the grandkids and their excitement.

Here's a culmination of our fun day.

Family Outing

I've been meaning to get these pictures up for a while cuz they are just so darn cute.  A little while ago we got our family pictures done and then went to Chucky Cheese afterwards.  Here are some pictures of the kids playing.  We had a blast.

Flour Game

We play a fun game called the flour game.  You may have heard of it.

Pack flour into a small mixing bowl until it's full to the top.  Make sure it's really packed down.  Carefully put a plate over the top and turn the bowl and plate over.  Remove the bowl and you should have a flour dome.  Put a coin on the top and give everyone a knife.  Each player in turn will cut a layer off the dome starting from the top and cutting to the bottom.  You can cut as thick a layer as you want.  Whoever makes the coin drop has to go in with their mouth and get the coin.  It's pretty fun and nerve-racking!
